O Come, All Ye Faithful

Our newly announced November catch ups are all in addition to the two other gatherings we’re hosting during the same month.

Firstly, tickets to our festive party are flying out the door!

As a reminder, we’re asking you to join us at Darlinghurst’s Universal Sydney on Thursday 27 November.

ree

Expect a night of festive cheer and plenty of party classics. Whether you’re based in Sydney or on the Central Coast, we invite you to join us for our Christmas gathering.

Silent night

Back by popular demand, we're going silent for this year's festive shindig!

That's right, we'll be partying to the sounds of a silent disco. With multiple channels on offer, you choose the tunes!

We'll then round the night off with a live DJ set. Expect plenty of bangers and the odd Christmas remix.

And no Gig Buddies' party is complete without our usual door prizes.

Now bring us some figgy pudding!

And in our attempts to keep costs to a minimum, we will not be providing food at this year's party.

Instead, on the night attendees can order and pay for their own food from the venue.

Boo!

And on the first day of November we’ll be meeting up in the city for a Halloween Zombie walk.

ree

We’re connecting with buddies in Ambarvale, Newtown, Liverpool, Warriewood, Ettalong, Wahroonga, Caringbah and the CBD. To join us for pub trivia, dinners, the movies, beach strolls and banger rolls or three live music offerings, load up the links below:

As for the here and now, we’re down to our final two September socials.

1 up

Say hello to Karen and Karen (below), our latest pairing.

ree

It’s wonderful to welcome our newest match and we look forward to hearing more about their forthcoming catchups.

Out of office

Due to annual leave and the pending October Labour Day public holiday, the newsletter will be taking a rest for the next three weeks.

ree

We’ll be reappearing in email inboxes on Monday 13 October.

Diaries at the ready

Calling all buddies: we’re asking you to ‘save (another) date’ as plans are locked in for our Central Coast Christmas lunch.

ree

Taking place on Sunday 14 December, tickets will go on sale when the newsletter returns on Monday 13 October.

We appreciate people have busy schedules, especially around the festive period. Therefore, we’re requesting buddies set aside their afternoon plans.

"I’m still smiling from it!"

Each month we bring you the views and thoughts from those who make up our user-led team, Soul Fly Buddies.

For September we hear from Karen, who tells us more about her birthday getaway.

"I’ve just come back from the most wonderful birthday trip, and I’m still smiling from it! I spent two nights in a lovely hotel and then set off on a cruise to Moreton Island. Honestly, I loved every single second of it.

There was so much to enjoy on board. I got right into playing bingo and trivia, which were so much fun. I also spent plenty of time in the pools and spas, which felt so relaxing. Each night I went to dinner in the dining rooms and enjoyed trying something new from the menu. The shows were another highlight, with so much entertainment in one place.

What really stood out was how friendly the staff were. They made everything feel easy and welcoming, which made the whole trip even more special. Of course, the very best part was just spending that time with my son, making memories together.

ree

Now I’m completely obsessed and cannot wait to book another one. It really was the best way to treat myself for my birthday, and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to do something special."

- Karen, Soul Fly Buddies

Flaunt it and win!

And lastly, this is your final chance to get involved in our Gig Buddies’ merch competition.

ree

For our latest competition we’re giving buddies the chance to win one of two $50 gift vouchers!

We’re asking you to don your Gig Buddies’ merch, take a snap and then share your best selfie.

Once you’ve taken your photo(s), either share via social media and tag us on Facebook or Instagram, or upload your picture to our website.

ree

We’re urging our community to get creative! The closing date is Saturday 27 September. Buddies can submit as many entries as they like. The Gig Buddies’ team will notify the winners (as selected by us) on Monday 29 September.

And if you would like to update your wardrobe with our latest batch of merch, click here.
