Going, going, (almost) gone
This is it! After some 14 weeks of planning, preparing and marketing, ticket sales to our 11th birthday end this THURSDAY.

For those yet to order, you have just under 72 hours to secure your spot.
As a reminder, next Thursday (21/5) we’re taking over Newtown’s The Vanguard - and we’re inviting buddies to join us for a night of live music and great company!
As revealed last week, on the night we’ll be joined by Kai, Development Officer with Gig Buddies Cymru (Wales). He’ll be kicking the evening off with a DJ set - and he’s also been tasked with the challenge of picking the ‘best fancy dress’.
Tickets to our birthday cost $30 and include live music and lucky door prizes. Whether you’re based in Sydney or on the Central Coast, we can’t wait to party with you on Thursday 21 May.

High five….. hundred!
A little while ago we posted about our pending 500th edition of the Gig Buddies’ newsletter.
This is due to come out in August, and to mark the milestone we’re dedicating the entire edition to the people who make us who we are.

We’re wanting to hear from buddies, volunteers and our supporters - irrespective if you’ve been paired for the entirety of our existence or if you’ve recently met your Gig Buddies’ match. Whether you’ve had one buddy or a number of volunteers, or if you only attend our events - we want to share your sentiments.
If you’re no longer part of Gig Buddies but were at one stage, we want to platform your opinions.
Whether you’re based in Sydney, the Northern Beaches, Western and Greater Western Sydney, the Inner West or on the Central Coast, we would love to hear from you.
We’re looking for buddies, volunteers and our supporters to share stories, selfies, videos, Vox pops, photos, art pieces, testimonies, interviews, commemorative dances - nothing is off limits.
If you would like to be part of our 500th newsletter, get in touch: you can reach us via Facebook Messenger, text or phone call (0402 708 814), or email: matt@assistcom.org
Updated plan?
And finally, here’s a friendly reminder for buddies with Gig Buddies’ NDIS service agreements.

Any changes to an NDIS participant's plan will automatically make your Gig Buddies' service agreement void.
We need to be informed of any date changes so we can update your service agreement and ensure you’re still covered by our public liability insurance when out with your volunteer.
If there have been any changes to your plan or if you’re unsure about your current service agreement, please contact Chelsea, our NDIS Coordinator, either via email: chelsea@assistcom.org or phone: 0412 145 819 or 02 9419 6951 (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8am - 4pm).
