One down, two to go

Thanks to everyone who masked up with us on Friday for our first Sydney Festival event of the summer - the Rise and fall of Saint George.

We were part of the sold out crowd at the beautiful Barangaroo Reserve for the show. To see more photos from Friday’s outing, click here.

Markets and memory lane

Following Friday’s gig, we have two more Sydney Festival events penciled in the diary.

We’re inviting buddies to join us at at the Australian Design Centre’s Makers Market in Darlinghurst this Saturday (23/1), followed by a walk down memory lane at the Australian Maritime Museum on Friday 29/1.

Both events are free. To join us at either click on the links listed below:

The links above have information about each event, including meeting places and performance times. Please note, the present covid situation is ever evolving and, should any of our plans change, we’ll make an announcement.

Give me five

It’s been a busy week on the pairing and training front.

Firstly, we’d like to welcome our five newest matches to the team: Claire and Louisa (top, L - R), Matt and Oliver (right, L - R), Lizzie and Yasmin (left, L - R), Elspeth and Camilla (bottom, up - down), and Edmond and Sarah (not pictured).

Two more to the team

While we’d also like to say ‘thank you’ to our newly trained volunteers.

We look forward to pairing Emma and Ava (above, L - R) with their respective buddies soon.

And finally……

We were overwhelmed with the response to last week’s appeal for buddies to join us at Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade.

We went on the hunt for dancers, placard and banner holders, a photographer / videographer and, for those who couldn’t make it on March 6th but would like to help out, prop designers - and all positions were filled within days.

To those who have booked up, thank you. We’ll be in touch soon to talk dance routines and banner designs.
