Our festive party plans are officially confirmed.
Over the course of the weekend we dropped a number of hints via our social media. We can now join the dots and tell you that on Thursday 21 November we’ll be taking over the top floor at the Rose of Australia in Erskineville.
Expect a night of festive cheer, tasty treats and plenty of party classics. Whether you’re based in Sydney or on the Central Coast, we invite you to join us for our Christmas gathering.

Give me five!
Since you last heard from us we’ve caught up with buddies on FIVE occasions.
So far in September we’ve facilitated socials at the Art Gallery of NSW, on Coogee Beach, Campbelltown RSL, Cronulla Northies and in Rhodes.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Archibald Exhibition, fish and chips on the beach and dinners out. To see more snaps from our five most recent outings, click here.

High five
And in addition to facilitating socials, we’ve been busy on the pairing front.
In the past fortnight we’ve welcomed the following new matches: Charlotte and Tahli (top, L - R), Tom and Callum (left, L - R), Matthew and Rohan (right, L - R), Heather and Basil (bottom, L - R) and Jacob and Eliza (not pictured).
It’s wonderful to have you all on board.
Evaluating customer service - your say
The NSW Department of Customer Service is evaluating its current approach to disability inclusion. They are particularly interested in feedback from people with disability, carers, disability advocates, and professionals within the sector.
Valuable sector perspectives on what is working well and where there is room for improvement in services such as Service NSW, Fair Trading NSW, and SafeWork NSW will play a crucial role in enhancing accessibility and inclusion for all.

Updated plan?
And finally, here’s a friendly reminder for buddies with Gig Buddies’ NDIS service agreements.
If you have an unscheduled plan review or the dates/details of your plan change for any reason, it’s very important you let us know.
Any changes to an NDIS participant's plan will automatically make your Gig Buddies' service agreement void.
We need to be informed of any date changes so we can update your service agreement and ensure you’re still covered by our public liability insurance when out with your volunteer.
If there have been any changes to your plan or if you’re unsure about your current service agreement, please contact Chelsea, our NDIS Coordinator, either via email: chelsea@assistcom.org or phone: 0412 145 819 or 02 9419 6951 (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9am - 5pm).
