Kicking goals

Our July socials have landed.

We’ve ten gatherings penciled in the diary, nine of which are dedicated to the theme of sport, while the other lends its hand to a British tradition.

We’re inviting buddies to join us for arcades, bowling, food gatherings, rugby league, rugby union, tennis, ping pong, putt putt, drag racing, AFL, along with our usual Christmas in July catch up.

In July we’re staging socials in Parramatta, Sylvania, Bondi, Balmain, Manly, Chatswood, Eastern Creek, Sydney Olympic Park and Gosford.

Add some triumph to your tax return

With the end of the financial year almost upon us, why not consider making a tax deductible donation to Gig Buddies?

Gig Buddies is a ‘deductible gift recipient’ (DGR) organisation, allowing us to receive tax deductible gifts or donations. By making a donation you can help reduce your taxable income while playing a part in tackling social isolation for adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities and/or autism.

Every donation of $2 or more is tax-deductible. A receipt will be issued upon donation; please keep a record for your own tax purposes.

Make a donation by 30 June to claim a deduction on your tax return.

Nathan and Veronica, it’s wonderful to welcome you to our growing community.

Ready to go

And we’ve also been busy prepping another batch of volunteers.

We want to say thank you to both Alex and Justine (above, L - R) for joining us via Zoom for our online training.

Out of office

Due to staff leave and the King’s birthday public holiday, there will be no newsletter for the next fortnight.

We’ll be back with the latest Gig Buddies news on Monday 16 June.

No room at the inn

Ticket sales to our tenth have closed - we’re now in full countdown mode to our birthday extravaganza.

For those of you joining us this Saturday, an email will be sent out this week with more information.

And for those of you driving to the Australian Maritime Museum, attendees can validate their parking at Harbourside Car Park for a $15.00 flat rate.

Partygoers must have their tickets validated at the Museum for this rate to apply (the Maritime’s validation machine is located within their main foyer).

As for the afterparty, there are options galore to explore in and around Darling Harbour. Vivid Festival will be in full swing, while there are oodles of watering holes and places to eat all within walking distance.
