Hail to the Kings

Writer's picture: Gig Buddies SydneyGig Buddies Sydney

Thanks to everyone who joined us courtside for yesterday’s basketball between Sydney Kings and Brisbane Bullets.

In what was a Gig Buddies Sydney first, we formed part of the 8,089 crowd at Sydney Olympic Park’s Qudos Arena.

Kings ran home comfortable winners, 107 - 91, and on the day we were joined by new buddies Fraser and Kelly (above, L - R) who attended their first event together.

More to come…

Attention now turns to our three remaining summer events - Gig Buddies Sydney’s fourth birthday and a double outing to the open-air cinema.

On Saturday 16 February we head to Bondi Pavilion for Mary Poppins Returns, and on Saturday 2 March we venture to North Sydney Oval for Mary Queen of Scots. Sandwiched between our two trips to the flicks, our birthday celebrations - happening at Balgowlah RSL on Saturday 23 February.

In other news, our recent pairing spree continued this weekend.

Welcome to the family gig buddies Ben and Gerard (below left hand side, L - R) and Andrew and Aaron (below right hand side, L - R). We look forward to hearing about your respective sporting and musical outings.

Lastly, if you’re in the Chatswood area between now and the end of the month and are on the search for a food fix, be sure to head to Grill'd.

For the month of February we’ve been selected as one of their ‘local matters’ charities, where the organisation that collects the most bottle caps takes home $300.
