We’re all about expanding social circles

During the Christmas break we received an application from a gig buddy who stated: “I love music and would like to go to more events…. I don’t have a circle of friends to go out with and am looking for the opportunity to expand my social network”.

Gig Buddies Sydney is all about expanding social circles and offering new experiences, and this year – in addition to our target of getting 90 people paired up - we’re excited about the diverse range of social shindigs that we have on offer.

Starting this week and running throughout January, we’re hitting up the Sydney Festival, beginning tomorrow (10/1) when we’ll be sampling the vibes from the David Bowie Let’s Dance tribute show in the Meriton Village, Hyde Park. It’s a freebie and the party gets under way at 5.15pm.

This forthcoming Saturday (14/1) we’re getting a culture fix, checking out the Symphony under the Stars. Staring at 8pm, you’ll find us in the Domain. Do not forget to pack a rug and a picnic.

Next Tuesday’s (17/1) Regurgitator gig has sold out, but tickets are still available for Saturday’s (21/1) Circus on Screen: The Show of Shows. Happening at Parramatta’s Riverside Theatres, attendees must register in advance. Tickets are free and things get underway at 7.15pm. To secure your spot, click the 'Join Waitlist' box via this link.

We encourage all gig buddies and volunteers, irrespective if you’re paired up or not, to come along and sample the Sydney Festival atmosphere and be part of a growing Gig Buddies community.

We’ll be posting details on our Facebook page about where and when we’ll be meeting in the lead up to each event, but should you want to join us for any of the aforementioned gigs we encourage you to let us know via email: info@gigbuddiessydney.org

We’ve so much more in store, too: our deal with Cronulla Sharks, along with three new Sydney Festival gigs (see below – tickets are strictly limited so get in touch to reserve your spot), and our second birthday celebrations take us nicely into the middle of 2017.

If you would like more information about any of these events feel free to give us a call at the office (02 9419 6951) or send us an email: info@gigbuddiessydney.org
