Gig Buddies goes to the Northern Beaches

As per the pairing process, a Gig Buddies Sydney staff member accompanies a volunteer and participant to their first event.

Why do we do this? We appreciate everyone is not the same, but it's our attempt to ally any apprehensions and put both the volunteer and gig buddy at ease, and last Saturday (10/10) I joined gig buddy Clare and her volunteer, Scarlett, as they ventured to the Northern Beaches Music Festival, Collaroy Beach, for their first gig buddies outing.

Scarlett and Clare at Collaroy Beach

Soaking up the sun, the folk vibes flowed as The Hollands!, Julien Joe Clement and Chantal & Cesar took to the stage.

Next up for Clare and Scarlett gig wise, our Gig Buddies Sydney social at the Spring Street Social, Bondi, followed by Taylor Swift at the ANZ Stadium.

If you or someone you know would like to attend more live music events, we’re always looking for new participants and volunteers. Click on the relevant links to find out how to get involved.
