That's a wrap

After four fabulous events - including two in the past week - we bid farewell to Sydney Festival for another year.

Thanks to everyone who tapped their toes at Two Crews’ performance at Carriageworks, laughed along to Laser Beak Man at the Sydney Opera House, moved at the Magic Mirrors Spiegeltent to the sounds of Holly Herndon, and joined us for the treat that was Time Flies (below) at the Seymour Centre.

We can’t thank Sydney Festival enough. Once again they've enabled buddies to experience so many top events for free. We’re indebted to your ongoing generosity and we can’t wait to do it all again next summer.

What’s next?

Attention now turns to our other summer and spring socials.

Next up, we get ‘get shakey in The Shakey’ for our 5th birthday. Come join your fellow gig buddies as we blow out the candles on our cake!

Later in February we head to the cricket for the opening game to the women’s Twenty20 World Cup, Australia vs. India, and in March we partake in three events: Lawn Bowls in Waverley, Sydney FC vs. Perth Glory and Taco Tuesdays, Bondi.

Two more to the team

In other news, our pairing spree continues. Welcome to the team Taylor and Alex (below, L - R) - our second match for 2020.

We look forward to seeing you out at one of our forthcoming socials.

Marching at Mardi Gras

And lastly, People with Disability Australia (PWDA), together with Northcott, are to march together in the 2020 Mardi Gras Parade in Sydney, and they would like to invite LGBTIQA+ people with disability from far and wide to join them.

To be eligible you must have a disability and be a person who identifies as LGBTIQA+.

Expressions of interest are to be submitted by Wednesday 29 January 2020. PWDA and Northcott require attendees to provide a couple of sentences on why you think you should be part of the 2020 float.

Send your expression of interest to pwd@pwd.org.au or, to find out more, call 1800 422 015 and ask to speak with the Mardi Gras co-ordinator.
