Below you will find some event suggestions for September 2025. 


There are some great events happening around Sydney and the Central Coast next month.

Please remember that the events listed below (except for our Gig Buddies social events) are not facilitated Gig Buddies events. 


This means Gig Buddies staff will not be attending these events or organising outings to these events.


These are just suggestions for things you and your buddy can do together.

This is an audio tour through our iconic city.


You buy tickets, then download the'Let's Roam' app. Then you can start your scavenger hunt at a day and time that suits you!


It will be a brilliant tour where you will discover stunning green spaces, beautiful cathedrals, and world-renowned museums.

The Blak Markets are an established, ethical Indigenous market and social enterprise that celebrates the work of First Nation small business owners.


This one-day event includes 20 unique Indigenous stalls, A Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, Traditional Indigenous dance and a weaving workshop open to the public.

This will be an immersive walking tour through Sydney's iconic City Circle train stations, where history, intrigue, and urban legends intertwine.


This tour will take you through the stations while uncovering their hidden stories, including ghost platforms, wartime secrets and visionary transport plans.

Sappho offers up poetry nights and open stage nights, as well as scheduled performances by local musicians. Check out their website for the upcoming events.

WHEN: Monday 1st to Tuesday 30th September 2025 WHERE: Marrickville, Erskineville, Newtown, NSW

Sydney Fringe Festival kicks off on 1st September and will see lots of events in music, theatre and performance art happening around Sydney.


There will be an Inner West precinct of the Festival. Events will take place at the New Theatre in Newtown, PACT Centre for Emerging Artists, Erskineville Town Hall, Marrickville Town Hall and the Factory Theatre in Marrickville.

Eastern Suburbs

WHERE: Bondi Pavillion, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Bondi Beach, NSW 2026


A place that looks to celebrate and platform d/Deaf and disabled artists across one jam-packed week of theatre, cabaret, comedy, dance and more.


There will be many different events happening. The events offer wheelchair-accessible spaces, a sensory chill-out zone, and selected Auslan-interpreted performances.

WHERE: Jack Mundey Reserve, 10 Evans Avenue, Eastlakes, NSW 2018


Bayside's popular event is returning for 2025.

In addition to plenty of food stalls, there will be dance performances, live music, free amusement rides, and an outdoor movie screening.

Community members will also have the opportunity to learn more about Council's services and local community organisations.

WHERE: Boronia Park, Hunters Hill Park Road &, Ryde Road, Hunters Hill, NSW 2110


Featuring rides, entertainment, displays, food stalls, a market bazaar, performances and a crowd-favourite dog show, the festival offers something for everyone. 


With a nostalgic history dating back to its first staging at Hunters Hill Town Hall in 1980, the festival’s name derives from the traditional Wallumedegal term meaning the “meeting of the waters” and refers to the area where the Parramatta and Lane Cove rivers come together in Sydney.

This is a night of trivia dedicated to one of the most hilariously relatable shows ever made.

North Sydney & Northern Beaches

A screening of the movie Green Book (2018). A comedy-drama of the true story of the 1982 tour of the deep south by African-American pianist Don Shirley and Shirley's driver and body-guard.

A free comedy writing workshop on Monday nights throughout September.


It aims to be a space for you to ask advice, ask professional questions, practice and workshop new material and meet other like-minded people.

There will be 70+ acts across 4 stages and 10+ official venues in and around Manly.


This hugely popular festival will feature a dynamic and diverse program celebrating the rich traditions and evolving future of jazz music.

A joyful day out in the beautiful grounds of Warrah at the much-loved Annual Spring Picnic!

Central Coast

Central Coast Craft Club has a monthly creative meet-up at FunHaus Factory, Gosford.


Bring along whatever you’re working on – knitting, sewing, painting, crochet, beading, sketching, or anything crafty you’re into – and spend a few hours in good company making, chatting, and connecting with fellow creatives over great food, good vibes, and friendly faces.
