National Volunteer Week is upon us and to celebrate we’re asking what volunteering means to those who selflessly give their time to our cause.
We’ve opened up our vault of testimonies and, throughout the week, we’ll be sharing quotes from a select bunch of past and present volunteers, all of whom we wouldn’t exist without.
In line with this year’s theme of ‘connecting communities’, we’ve put together a montage that showcases just that. Press play on the reel above to see what our amazing band of buddies get up to in their spare time.
And be sure to keep eyes on our Facebook and Instagram accounts between today and Friday as we’ll be sharing more stories from our wonderful batch of volunteers.
National Volunteer Week is our chance to say ‘thank you’ to those who give their time into making us what we are.
Currently, we have 164 volunteers doing just that - an incredible number.
And we feel the volunteers who give their time to Gig Buddies tick all the boxes on this year’s theme: volunteering creates lasting relationships that enrich lives and strengthen communities.
Thank you!
The team behind #NVW2025 want to acknowledge the spirit of connection and the incredible impact volunteers have in building thriving and inclusive communities.
We started the Gig Buddies program over ten years ago. To witness the growth of the project and the relationships formed during that time is truly wonderful.
To all our volunteers past and present, thank you for generously giving your time. Happy National Volunteer Week, one and all.
