Brunch with us

Writer's picture: Gig Buddies SydneyGig Buddies Sydney

With the ongoing restrictions limiting our ability to meet up in the pub, we’ve opted instead to work with what Mother Nature gave us.

We’ve arranged two Gig Buddies Sydney Sunday brunches in the park, taking place in opposite parts of the city during the month of February.

If you’d like to join us for brunch in Cronulla or Narrabeen, click on the links listed below:

Our brunch events are free to attend and places are limited to 30 per event. In the interest of fairness and to ensure we connect with as many of you as possible, we ask that buddies attend one event only.

If you have any questions or would like more information about our brunch events, send us an email: info@gigbuddiessydney.org, get in touch on Facebook Messenger or contact us via text or on the phone on 0422 061 990.

A Mile in my Shoes

On the subject of our events, we’d like to say thank you to those who joined us last Friday for our final Sydney Festival gig for the summer.

The rain didn’t put us off as buddies made their way to the Australian National Maritime Museum for A Mile in my Shoes - an exhibition where people “try on a pair of shoes that belong to someone else and listen to their story. It might be a tale of loss and sadness, hope and love, of odds overcome.”

Drawing against the clock ✏️

This week we invite buddies to connect with us online for Pictionary.

Pens and paper at the ready, we’re drawing objects against the clock. If you’d like to join us on Zoom, click on the link listed below:

Doubling up

We’re delighted to introduce our two newest pairings.

Welcome to the family Elliot and Paddy (top, L - R) and Emma and Rae (bottom, L - R). We look forward to hearing about your buddying adventures.

A couple of newbies

And we’re equally as happy to welcome our two newest trained volunteers.

Thanks, Sarah and Nina (above, L - R), for coming to Gig Buddies Sydney HQ last Saturday.

While we have your attention….

Be sure to check out next week’s blog as we’ll be revealing more outdoor social gatherings.
