Ding dong merrily on high

Hats off to all the buddies who joined us in the city on Saturday for our Christmas shindig.

Around 50 gig buddies partied at a packed Soda Factory - thanks to everyone who joined us on the dance floor.

To see more photos from Saturday’s social, load up our link here.

In 2018 we organised 18 social events - thanks to the 400+ buddies who joined us at the comedy, live music gigs, footy, cabaret, theatre and food and drink events.

We do it all again next year (above), kicking off with our trips to the Sydney Festival and the Big Bash. While we’ve already released information about five summer events and the Cronulla Sharks’ games we’re to attend, we have details about another FOUR shows still to announce - all of which will be revealed in the new year.

Prior to Saturday’s Christmas party we also completed the pairing of buddies Keith and Nic (above). Welcome to the Gig Buddies Sydney family, we're looking forward to hearing about your trips to live music events.

And on Friday night (7/12) a number of buddies attended Frank Turner’s gig at the Metro Theatre; earlier this year Frank embarked on a world tour and during his UK performances he approached various Gig Buddies projects, providing free access to his shows.

Frank generously donated eight free tickets to his one and only Sydney show, while also providing us the opportunity to promote Gig Buddies Sydney.

To those of you who may have missed it, last Thursday I had the pleasure to chat with ABC Sydney’s Chris Bath. If you’re looking for something to listen to while browsing photos from Saturday’s Christmas party, click here to hear the full interview.
