To new beginnings

As many gig buddies will be aware, we’ve been in existence since 2015.

In that time we’ve paired up plenty of buddies - and we’re on course to make it 100 by the end of the year (check out our new celebratory Facebook and Twitter banner, below).

However, we have a number of buddies who are still waiting for a match - some of whom applied when we first started in February 2015.

We’re going to start reaching out to those unmatched buddies who applied back when we began. As per our new approach, we want to find out if the buddy in question is still interested and whether their personal circumstances - be it their hobbies or contact details - have changed.

Much like the initial interview, these meetings will take place over the phone, Skype or in person.

We emphasise that all buddies who sign up become part of the Gig Buddies Sydney community and as such, they're welcome to attend our social events. However, we’re aware that there are a number of buddies who may prefer to do things in a one-on-one setting, or who are simply unaware of our regular catch ups.

We’ve come a long way in the past three years and during that timeframe we’ve developed a strong sense of what works and what doesn’t. We’ve also accumulated a large database of suitable and willing volunteers.

In other Gig Buddies Sydney news, we’re excited to be in our new digs.

One look from our staff kitchen window and we’re greeted with a rather iconic structure.

If you're looking to reach us, our telephone contact details are the same, but our new address is: 125 Blues Point Road, McMahons Point.
