Following a double volunteer training session we’re now in a position to pair up another eight buddies.
Thanks to David, John, George, Melinda and Oliver (below, L-R) for coming in last Monday (10/9).
And we’re equally appreciative of Carrie, Sarah and Kevin (below, L-R) for joining us on Saturday (15/9).
Between now and the end of 2018 we have another four volunteer training sessions penciled in the diary, meaning we’re on target to eclipse 100 paired up buddies.
Of those who have undergone training in the past week, the wait from their respective buddies for a volunteer varies from three years (September 2015) to as recently as July of this year. Additionally, the waiting times for the volunteers in question spans from April 2017 to August 2018.
When buddies and volunteers sign up we emphasise that pairing people can take some time. Not only do we look for a mutual interest, but gender, age and location preferences are also taken into consideration.
To those who are still waiting, we are trying.
In other news, we’re excited to launch the Gig Buddies Sydney shop. Currently shoppers can purchase our very own branded socks, but in the future browsers will also be able to buy tickets to our social events.
