We’re off to Hobart

During Friday’s Soul Fly Band monthly meeting it was revealed that our advisory group’s application to speak at the 2017 ASID (Australasian Society for Intellectual Disability) Conference has been successful.

We’ll be heading to Tasmania in November to discuss how Soul Fly Band helps ensure we deliver on our mission statement of “promoting social inclusion and enabling people with disability to become actively involved with Sydney’s live music and events scene.”

In line with the conference theme, the Soul Fly Band will give a presentation on “pushing the boundaries” and how, as Gig Buddies Sydney’s advisory group, they help assist in shaping policy and provide strategic direction at both a corporate and operational level.

Running from November 8 - 10, this year’s ASID Conference takes place in Hobart.
