Bondi, you were a blast

The photos are in - big love to all of you who attended our final Gig Buddies Sydney shindig of the year, held last Friday (20/11) at Bondi’s Spring Street Social.

Over 50 gig buddies, volunteers, friends and staff headed underground, escaping the 40-plus degree heat as Ghana’s multi award-winning singer, composure and multi-instrumentalist Afro Moses supplied the live tunes.

We were extremely grateful for the assistance of International College of Management Sydney students (pictured below alongside Rachel, far left) Norah, Meg, Lochie, Mitchell, U Na and Charlotte (alongside gig buddy Tim and myself, far right). As part of their studies they volunteered their time by directing all arrivals from the train station to the venue. We’re not to forget team member Tom either, not pictured.

Kudos to Tony as well, our photographer extraordinaire on the night. The rest of his handy work is available via our photo gallery.

As we approach the end of the year, that’s it in terms of Gig Buddies Sydney socials for 2015. Following our nights out in the city, Manly and Bondi we will be back in 2016: Balmain, the western suburbs and Cronulla – places with high numbers of gig buddies and volunteers - are on our to-do-list.

But first we’ve got the Sydney Festival, starting in January. We have plans to hit up Hyde Park before moving out to Parramatta, more of which we’ll reveal next week.
