Share the love and win 💰

Calling all participants… following last week’s blog where we revealed our imbalance of volunteers to buddies, we’re giving you the opportunity to win cash towards future events.

As shown in the map below, we currently have 501 volunteers to 175 buddies on our database - and we’re calling on you to help us make more matches.

Starting today (Monday 20 July) and running until Monday 17 August, we’re offering a $200 prize to the participant who can send us the most buddies. We will also give away a $100 second place and $50 third place prize.

We’re looking for new gig buddies who are 18 years old or over with mild to moderate learning disabilities and/or autism living within Sydney. To win one of our prizes, all recommended buddies must fill out a complete application form.

Prize money is for tickets to gigs of yours and your buddy’s choice. If an unmatched participant should win they’ll be given cash vouchers for future Gig Buddies Sydney events’.

We’re truly blessed to have so many wonderful volunteers on our books. With your help we’re hoping to address our imbalance, make more matches, create new friendships and get more buddies to gigs.

If you know someone who may be interested, either direct them to this link, forward them a copy of this week’s blog or direct them to our website: www.gigbuddiessydney.org

More matches

In other news, we continue in our mission to get more people paired up.

This week we facilitated three volunteer training sessions (above), welcoming Lauren, Zakka and Jarrad (top, L - R), Stephen and Matt (middle, L - R) and Reuben, Mietta, Jakob (bottom, L - R) to the team.

Say hello to……

While we also created two new matches (below) - Serup and Daoyu (top, L - R) and Georgia and Isabella (bottom, L - R).

We’re delighted to welcome our new additions to the family. We’re looking forward to getting our newly trained volunteers matched up soon, and we’re excited to see our new paired up buddies out and about.
